ARTE has developed a unique collection of wallcoverings in collaboration with Les Couleurs Suisse AG. The complete works of the Grand Master were used as a source of inspiration.
Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Griss, better known as “Le Corbusier”, was the inspirational force behind two famous wallpaper collections: “Salubra I” (1931) and “Salubra II” (1959). ARTE did not have any intention of copying these works in any way; instead they tried to put themselves in the shoes of these architects, designers and artists. What if Le Corbusier had been born a hundred years later, what materials, designs and techniques would he have used? This new collection created in 2013 is the result of these reflections and thoughts.
